Let's begin with your typical artists beginning... I've been drawing for as far back as I can remember. Drawing and coloring were always my favorite past times when I was younger. This carried through most of my life growing up. Then a time without such things came. I lost my interest for a period during high-school and found it again two years later. That's all the history there is to it. Since then it has always been a part of my life and I am constantly looking for ways to improve and to impliment new skills and techniques to broaden my concepts. I dabble in a fairly wide spectrum of mediums; from pencil and ink sketching, digital CG, painting, and photo manipulation, to website design and even more textile arenas such as; synthetic hair design and construction, clothing design, writing fiction and poetry... The list could go on and on because I love experimenting with so many different things. "Art is the only medication I need. The mind speaks through the hands." -- Within there lies a separation between creator and creation. What lies within I affectionatly call my Sickness. My flood of irrational creativity.. One I tend to stifle too often. I am and will continue to try to rectify this before it brings the draught. Most of my time is devoted to drawing or digital creation. So many different design concepts and images dance through my head as if, by design alone, they could become real. Ink without Flesh, Flesh without blood, world without end. Thoughts come in a harsh and sporadic flow, never-ending. A hungry throng of sensation. If only I had enough time to create it all, see it all born. Some say you give up portions of your sanity-- Some say you give up portions of your soul-- To become an Artist. Everything comes with it's own conflict. |
